Our group presented Helen O' Loy by Lester del Rey. We also showed a film entitled A.I or Artificial Intelligence.
The texts were both good for me. Actually our first choice of text was The Atlantis but we chose Helen O' Loy. When I skimmed the story, it was really amazing. It's unique because of its style of writing. I read the entire story and I drew my conclusion that it is really a good science fiction because it is plausible. It's acceptable in the manner that it can be possible that a creator of a robot would love his/her own creation. For example, the robot maker's wife died and she will create a robot as same as her wife, it is not impossible that the maker would have an affection and love for the robot.
The movie A.I was also good. There are 3 reasons for my reaction. First one is the movie's uniqueness and creativity. Second is that it showed the real truth the a robot cannot be a human forever, human is human, robot is robot. Third is that it's easy to understand.
In general, both of them are plausible. As we can see technology is very high nowadays.
